David Frisby David Frisby was born and brought up in Sheffield. His love for wild places first brought him to North Wales when he was twelve. He moved to Rhiw temporarily in 1992 and has lived in Bryn Ffowc since 1999. All through his life he has had a passion for birds, especially birds of prey, with falconry being his main hobby.
Sparrow Hawk For the last seven years he has sculpted birds of prey using bark, particularly from dead elms, recycled timber and driftwood. His work has included life size golden eagles, sparrow hawks and kestrels.
