Rem Etive

I travelled to Norway on May 17th 2007 to join the Rem Etive as a crane operator, she was my 69th ship, and the first new build I was ever on, in fact she was so new, that she hadn't been officially named, that took place on the 19th.

The REM Etive is a 93.5 metre new build DP2 Multi Purpose Offshore Support Vessel, constructed to the proven Marine Teknik MT 6016 design. The vessel was delivered to TSMarine mid May 2007 from the Kleven shipyard in Norway and conforms to a high level of environmental class conditions required of vessels of this type in the offshore industry sector.

Sailing down a Fjord

TSMarine have the vessel on long-term charter and will be employing the vessel in various projects and contracts. The vessel will be configured to undertake many diverless subsea decommissioning and intervention activities; rigless well intervention services, wellhead and subsea infrastructure abandonment, subsea tree change-out and subsea construction support activities. Built to the new and demanding “Clean Comfort V “Norwegian standards the ship represents the latest in fuel efficient, low noise and vibration Dynamically Positioned Construction class vessels.
