The brick works jetty
~~~~~~~ |
|
| This
Dolphin jetty, was the only one of its kind on Llyn, ships would
be unloaded, coal mostly, and a cable car arrangement would
carry the goods over the beach, to the cliff top. It was a
perfect solution, for discharging vessel on a shallow beach.
Porthdinllaen is across the bay behind the jetty.
| A rare photograph of the Dora warehouse at the
Porthdinllaen end of the beach, showing goods being loaded on to
a cart, to be delivered throughout Llyn.
