The late John Davies from Tudweiliog sailed on several Fyffes banana boats as Carpenter, from 1957 to 1962. These ships mainly traded between Central America, United States, West Africa and Europe. His family has kindly lent us his entire photographic collection, and they are a fascinating glimpse into the every day life on a British Merchant ship of this period.
