DYNAMIC POSITIONING SYSTEM
The Vessel is equipped with a fully redundant duplex dynamic positioning system utilising the Kongsberg Albatross type SDP 21 with
Kongsberg-Albatross type SDP 11 as back-up. There are three UPS systems with By-pass transformer. The system has AUTRO class notation.
REFERENCE SYSTEMS
2 x Simrad hydro-acoustic systems with one tracking & one fixed transducer having individual electric hoists with local/remote controls and gate valve, 2 x self-contained lightweight vertical taut wire systems. (Maximum Operating range 450m water depth).
3 x wind sensors (1 dedicated to SOP 11).
2 x vertical reference units.
3 x Gyro compasses.
2 x differential Global Positioning System (DGPS).

ENGINE ROOM
ELECTRICAL POWER AND DISTRIBUTION
Main electrical power generation is by six turbo-charged diesel engines. Three diesel alternators being located in the forward engine room and three in the aft engine room.
LIFESAVING EQUIPMENT
LIFEBOATS
4 x GRP totally enclosed diesel driven lifeboats. Capacity for 72 persons each.
HYPERBARIC RESCUE LIFEBOAT
Capacity 18 divers, 3 crew and endurance of 72 hours life support.
EXTERNAL FIRE FIGHTING
Four remotely controlled monitors are provided for combating fires on offshore installations and other vessels.
DIVING SYSTEM
The Vessel is fitted with a saturation diving complex and associated equipment designed for use to a maximum depth of 45Omsw and capable of housing and supporting 18 divers.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation complies with the requirements of the British Department of Transport and NMD and is fully air conditioned.

HOSPITAL
Complies fully with DTP and NMD Regulations regarding furnishing and equipment and has 3 beds, plus adjacent treatment room. One of the beds being a combination of bed and adjustable operating couch in accordance with NMD health rules.
HELIDECK
The helicopter deck is designed to serve the S61 N Helicopter. The deck is strengthened to take the Boeing Chinook in cases of emergency. Complete with Traffic Control and Waiting/Changing Room. The helicopter reception facilities comply with both British and Norwegian Civil Aviation rules and recommendations regarding helicopter transport.
OILWELL WORKOVER/SERVICING
For Workover/Wellservicing operations the Seawell has been fitted with a Derrick. The Derrick consists of a main ‘A Frame structure positioned on the upper main deck, over the working moonpool, and is rated at single fall 4OTe, double fall 7OTe. It is fitted with separate heave compensation systems, one active, and two passive. A pod line and guideline tensioning systems are also fitted. The Derrick is serviced by an elevated skidding deck where sub sea equipment can be manoeuvred utilising constant tension winches.
WORKDECK
The work deck measuring 6.42m x 8.12m is provided by 4 hydraulically operated flaps which open into the working moon pool. Its load rating of I 3OTonnes SWL at centre where there is a 37.5" casing Master Bushing.
