Saturday 1 – Paid £2/12/0d for fertiliser at Aberdaron.

Tuesday 4 – Dug the border at Ael Bryn.

Wednesday 5 – At Pwll Melyn. Joseff Jones the Preacher dies and news comes also of the death of  Thomas, Y Waen.

Thursday 6 – Half at Pwll Melyn. Watchkeeping pay £1/16/0d. Paid 9/- for the gander. BW 8 pm to 12.

Friday 7 – At Pwll Melyn finishing the eaves, received 5/-. Paid 15/- tithes. BW 8 pm to 12.

Saturday 8 – At Abererch today visiting Thomas. Joseff Jones the Preacher’s funeral, it started off from Pwllheli.

Tuesday 11 – At Ty Croes Bach making a back door for the barn. BW 10 pm to 2 am.

Thursday 13 – Installing the oven at Mindon. RHT sends word from Pwllheli to Rhiwlas, that my brother Thomas has died. BW 8 pm to 12.

Friday 14 – BW 4 pm to 8. News that the son of Talcen Foel has died after having an accident with his bike on the Bodernabwy bridge, Aberdaron.

Saturday 15 – BW 12 am to 4. Gale force winds and the high tide runs through the village in Aberdaron.

Sunday 16 – Rainy Sunday. BW 12 to 4 am.

Monday 17 – Thomas my brother’s funeral at Abererch, he was 74 years old.

Tuesday 18 – BW 4 am to 8. Went to bed in the afternoon.

Wednesday 19 – Robert Hughes, Pengroeslon’s funeral. BW 12 to 4 am.

Thursday 20 – 5/4d for the eggs. Slaughtered a lamb at Congol. BW 8 pm to 12.

Friday 1 – BW 12 to 4 am. Received 2/6d from Daniel Rowlands for measuring the ropes at the LSA. Planted potatoes at Tan Ffordd. Five dozen eggs for the shop 3/7d.

Saturday 2 – Finished planting at Tan Ffordd. Furrowed the field at Cadwgan. BW 7 pm to 11.

Monday 4 – William Clwt y Bont and his wife are here. Watch keeping pay £2/12/6d. Paid 18/6d for 2 cwt of corn.

Tuesday 5 –  Three quarters at Conion Ganol plastering and putting timber round the door.

Wednesday 6 – Willie Clwt y bont goes home. Nell’s gone to Pwllheli. Planted potatoes in Gimla.

Thursday 7 – Plastering the WC at Conion Ganol.

Friday 8 – At Trip working on the chimney.

Saturday 9 – At Trip again working on the chimney.

Saturday 16 –  Went to Harry Bryn Chwilog’s funeral in Llanor today. BW 8 pm to 12. Poor Dic died on the 17th , 1937. Paid for a headstone for him on the 16th 1938.

Wednesday 20 – At Tyn Gamfa putting glass in the roof of the shed.

Thursday 21 – At Trip finishing the chimney, paid 7/-. It’s bad on the sheep as there’s been no rain.

Friday 22 – At Conion Ganol putting a latch on the door and starting on the pipes.

Saturday 23 – At Conion Ganol erecting the two brick pillars. Laura and the children go back home. Eggs under the hen at Tan Ffordd.

Tuesday 24 – The black hen is to about to hatch her eggs. Finishing off at Ty Croes Bach. BW 12 to 4 pm.

Wednesday 25 – Nell and Ickie go to town to see the medical officer.

Thursday 26 – The white hen from Ty Canol should hatch in the hovel. At Ty Croes Bach whitewashing the pantry. BW 11.30 pm to 3.30.

Friday 3 -  At Tyn Graig, used 1/6d’s worth of timber to repair the doors. Nine dozen eggs 8/3d. Paid 7/6d for stone.

Saturday 4 – Picking potatoes.

Sunday 5 – Paid 2/6d for my seat at chapel.

Saturday 18 – Began work at Bwlchgareg, but the rain stopped  me from cementing. Sent a paper to D Parry.

Sunday 19 – Mr Hughes preaches at 6.

Monday 20 – Lewis and I go to town with Miss Hughes in her car to see the man about drawing up the plans for the village hall. Re installed the oven at Bryn Difyr.

Tuesday 21 – BW 12 to 4 pm. Cwt corn for the hens at Ael Bryn.

Wednesday 22 – Paid 19/- for corn for the hens. BW 12 to 4 pm fog and rain.

Thursday 23 – BW 12 to 4 pm.

Friday 24 – BW 12 to 4 pm. Daniel Rowlands tells me by phone at Bytilith, that Sydna Penbryn Bach has died. The school children are holding a concert this evening.

Saturday 9 – Ickie and John Seaview go to town. Filling in round the stove at Ael Bryn, Corn for the hens from Daniel Rowlands. Three dozen eggs for the shop 4/-.

Sunday 10 – No one comes to chapel today due to the heavy rain. BW 10 am, the telephone is out of order.

Monday 11 – BW 2 am to 6. At Pwllheli changing the cheque for the lambs and one for working at Conion Ganol. BW 10 pm to 2 am.

Tuesday 12 – Took the lambs to Talafon. Watch-keeping money 18/-.

Wednesday 13 – Finished the WC at Bryn Difyr. Stacked hay at the field in front of Eifion after tea. Lowri Grepach’s funeral. Black hen due to hatch.

Thursday 14 – BW 4 am to 8. Fog and heavy rain.

Monday 1 – Turned the hay at Congol. Cwt corn for the hens.

Tuesday 2 – Turned hay at Congol. Heavy rain. 15/- for the eggs.

Wednesday 3 – Carrying hay at Congol. Eggs in the market 1/6d per dozen.

Thursday 4 – Half at Ty Rhos. Carried two loads of hay. Cwt corn for the hens at Tan Ffordd.

Friday 5 – Turned hay at Conion in the morning, E Williams and I then started off for Ty Rhos and Conion, but heavy rain came suddenly.

Wednesday 10 – Went to Pengroeslon with Conion’s car to fetch cement. Went haymaking to Ty Rhos, thunder and rain as soon as we got there. Laura and the children come to stay.

Thursday 11 – BW thick fog 8.30 am. Daniel Rowlands takes the black heifer to the sale with the Talalfon lorry. Nell, Laura and the children go to the regatta at Aberdaron.

Friday 12 -  Turned and carried a load of hay at Ty Rhos.

Saturday 13 – Lander and hooks for Ty Ucha.

Sunday 14 – GT Roberts Congol Meinciau at 2 and 6.

Sunday 4 – WJ Jones at 2 and 6. Thomas Ty Mawr has an accident with his bike near Bryn Ffoulk and dies.

Monday 5 – With Mrs Keatings, she pays 1/6d for the cement and sand and 2/6d for my labour.

Wednesday 7 -  Went for a day out to Port and Penrhyndeudraeth.

Sunday 11 – Sunday School meeting. Davies Pwllheli quizzes the children and Mr Evans asks questions about Mathew 8 in the evening. A very successful meeting.

Tuesday 13 – Half at Fourcrosses. Went with Daniel Rowlands to get the boat up at Tyn Borth. £1/0/0d for the eggs.

Wednesday 14 – Half at Fourcrosses. Paid 17/- for corn at Eifion.

Thursday 15 -  At Fourcrosses. Two of aunt Sara’s daughters are here with Ann Tyn Llyn. Carried two loads of hay at Llwynfor.

Tuesday 4 – The hay barn at Tan Ffordd is blown over in the gales, many houses in the village suffer damage also. BW 10 am to 2 pm.

Tuesday 11 – Picking potatoes at Ael Bryn. Two aircraft collide above Trefollwyn, three men are killed. BW 2 pm to 6. 4/4d for the eggs.

Wednesday 12 – BW 10 am to 2 pm. Heavy rain.

Thursday 13 – Sold two cockerels, one to Trip and the other to Bryn Hyfryd 4/8d. Auction at Tyn Parc. The lady from Tyn Mynydd dies. BW 6 pm to 10.

Friday 14 – Auction at Llawenan. Paid £2/3/9d for corn for the hens. BW 2 pm to 6. Had a letter from Safn Pant regarding Penbwlch.

Saturday 15 – BW 6 am to 10. Catherine Williams, Tyn Mynydd’s funeral at Nebo.

Sunday 16 – R Hughes Rhiw at 2 and 6. I go to Noddfa for tea. BW 6 am to 10.

Monday 17 – BW 2 am to 6. Thanksgiving today. BW 5 pm to 9. Watch pay £3/3/0d.

Tuesday 18 – With Lydia repairing the eaves. Another ewe takes the ram, three have taken previously. BW 10 pm to 2 am.

Wednesday 19 -  WJT, Eifion goes to town.

Thursday 20 – Anne Thomas, Eifion, dies. Half at Ty Croes Mawr with O Owens.

Friday 21 – At Cadwgan and Ty Croes.

Saturday 22 – Went to Pwllheli with Ickie and Edgar to buy shoes.

Sunday 23 – Prayer Meeting at 2 and 6.

Monday 24 – At Anne Thomas, Eifion’s funeral.

Tuesday 25 – Heavy rain all day. Watch pay 9/-.

Wednesday 26 – BW 4 am to 8. Daniel goes to town whilst I re install the oven at Rhiwlas. I do a watch for WJT, Eifion at 4 pm.

Thursday 27 – BW 4 am to 8. Received £2 from Mr Owen for work at Tyn Graig.

Friday 28 – BW 12 to 5 am.

Saturday 29 -  Repairing at the back of the house Tyddyn Morthwyl. Cement for the job 2/6d

Sunday 30 – Jones the minister at 2.

Monday 31 – Paid 17/6d for corn to WJT. LSA drill at 5 pm 5/-.

Tuesday 1 – BW 4 am to 8. At the Rocket House drying out and clearing the ropes.

Wednesday 2 -  BW 12 to 4 am. Cwt of corn for the hens from Daniel Rowlands. At the Rocket House finishing with the ropes. BW 8 pm to 12.

Thursday 3 – BW 12 to 4. Sale at Sarn, R Jones has gone to it.

Friday 4 – BW 4 pm to 8. Finishing tidying up the Rocket House. BW 12 to 4 am.

Saturday 5 – BW 12 to 4.

Sunday 6 – Hughes Rhiw at 2. BW 8 pm to 12.

Monday 7 -  Full eclipse of the moon began at 9.45. BW 4 am to 8. Watch pay £1/2/6d.

Thursday 10 – Pension £1/10/0d. Martha moves from Syntyr to Sgubor Isa. BW 8 pm to 12.

Friday 11 – BW 8 am to 12. Fair day at Pwllheli today. Watch pay £2/14/0d.

Saturday 12 – BW 4 am to 8. Heavy rain.

Friday 18 – Went to fetch the sheep that had escaped from Parciau Bodwyddog. BW 6 pm to 10. Had rain on the way down.

Saturday 19 – Had a letter from Robert Griffith, Ty Mawr, Llanfrothen he wanted some cattle. BW 2 pm to 6.

Sunday 20 – Alun Roberts at 2.

Monday 21 – Installing the oven at Bryngoleu Bach, paid 3/- for the grate and 3/6d for my labour.

Tuesday 22 – LSA drill 10 am 2/8d.

Wednesday 23 – Strong winds and rain from the south east. Daniel starts his watch at 5 am, the wind changes to west north west. BW 9 pm to 1 am.

Thursday 24 – Picked a row of potatoes at Llwynfor, two bags full.

Friday 25 – Sent a letter to Ty Mawr, Llanfrothen. BW 5 pm to 9.

Saturday 26 – BW 1 pm to 6.

Sunday 27 – Hughes at 2 and 6. No one in chapel as it’s so stormy. BW 9 pm to 1 am.

Monday 28 – Went to the Post to see the doctor. BW 5 pm to 9.

Tuesday 29 – The white ewe takes the ram.

Wednesday 30 – Watch pay £2/9/6d.

Wednesday 7 – News comes that Ellis Ty Rhedyn has died. BW 4 pm to 8.

Saturday 10 – BW 4 am to 10. Ellis Ty Rhedyn’s funeral.

Wednesday 21 – BW 8 am to 12. Shortest day. Daniel Rowlands takes the geese to Pwllheli. Poor Isaac went out of Blyth for the last time December 1921.

Thursday 22 – Ickie goes to fetch the gander from Tyn Llyn. BW 6 pm to 12.

Friday 23 – Thawing today. Not much wind this evening. BW 8 pm to 12.

Sunday 25 – Prayer Meeting at 2 and 6.

Monday 26 – Owen Owens finishes his watch at 8 and I start again at 10 pm until 2 am.

Tuesday 27 – Sent 5/10d for the monthly books. Paid £1/7/0d to Owen Williams Fantol for making the oven for Bryngoleu Bach.

Wednesday 28 – Paid £1/16/6d at Eifion for corn for the hens. Bag of corn for Ael Bryn.

Thursday 29 – Sent the money from the chapel alms box £2/2/9d.

Friday 30 – Jini Tan Capel has a little boy.

Saturday 31 – With the Keatings at Plas yn Rhiw. Started my watch at 2 am.
